Cloud Product Owner – Johannesburg or Pretoria (Hybrid)

Contract: 6–12 months (project dependent)
Hybrid: 3 days onsite | 2 days remote

Our client is seeking an experienced Cloud Product Owner to lead the vision, roadmap, and delivery of their enterprise Cloud Platform, enabling secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.

Minimum Requirements:

Proven experience as a Product Owner
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure (AWS advantageous)
Strong understanding of Platform Engineering and Cloud Operations
Experience with DevOps and Agile delivery methodologies
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and platform services
Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimisation
Product roadmap and backlog management experience
Strong stakeholder management and value realisation skills
Financial Services experience advantageous
SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Define and manage the Cloud Platform vision and roadmap
Own and prioritize the product backlog
Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Infrastructure teams
Drive cloud platform adoption and continuous improvement
Balance reliability, security, performance, and cost optimisation
Manage stakeholder engagement and product governance
