Data Engineer – Johannesburg or Pretoria (Hybrid)
Contract: 6–12 months (project dependent)
Hybrid: 3 days onsite | 2 days remote
Our client is looking for experienced Data Engineers to design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise data pipelines that support analytics, AI, and business intelligence.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years' Data Engineering experience
- Strong Python and SQL skills
- Experience with Apache Spark
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, and Denodo
- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics
- Azure Data Factory experience preferred
- Strong ETL/ELT pipeline development experience
- Experience working with Azure Cloud Data Platforms
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
- Build and optimize enterprise data integrations
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance
- Develop data solutions for analytics, AI, and reporting
- Collaborate with Data Architects, Product Owners, and Analytics teams
- Implement engineering best practices, testing, and automation
